Seam Sealing Tape
for 3-Layer Fabrics |
|
Specialist tapes suitable for
sealing seams on 3 layer high performance waterproof breathable
laminates.
The tapes consist of 3-layers; a nylon backer, a PU
non-thermoplastic waterproof primer film and a specially
developed hot melt adhesive.
The unique polymer development used for the hot melt adhesive
allows the tapes to remain soft and flexible after application
minimising any transfer impression to the garment outer and
provides for excellent performance and durability in wear. |

To seal the seams on
3-Layer fabrics it is essential that the tape adhesive
completely saturates the nylon backing fabric and bonds to the
middle waterproof layer.

Soft,
versatile tape (140g/m2 - 220my) developed to give
more effective waterproof bonding / sealing on a wide range of
modern soft handle 3-layer laminated fabrics with minimum tape transfer impression. |

TQ-2520 |
Stretch tape with a polyester jersey backer (22
tex / 24 fil - 240my thickness) for use on 3-layer (jersey and
tricot laminates) and 2-layer fabrics, which have stretch
characteristics. The tape uses a combination of a stretch backer
and a less dense adhesive formulation to achieve high-quality
waterproof bonding on stretch fabrics. |

TQ-2260 S
|
Seam Tape (300my thickness) for use on
trilaminate marine suits, dry suits, waders etc. It is similar
in appearance and weight to T-2000X and has the same woven nylon
6.6 tricot backer, but it has a different hot melt adhesive
formulation, with higher melt temperature and the benefit of a
more immediate grip / bond. This supports successful seam
sealing on heavier weight fabrics / bulkier seams and durability
and performance in harsh marine environments. |

T-5000 |
Hot melt tape with good stretch / extensibility /
elasticity, originally developed for use on jersey laminated CR
sponge neoprene fabrics - wetsuits, dry suits, waders, fishing,
canoe / kayak / paddle waterproofs etc. but has since been
successfully used on a wide variety of other projects including
medical supports / braces, cycle clothing, smart gloves, paint
rollers, motor vehicle interiors and soft tops, etc. In the
marine sectors it continues to be recognised as the “industry
standard” – it has excellent durability and resistance to
saltwater hydrolysis whilst providing an attractive decorative
and long-lasting finish. Not only does it add strength to the
seam it also remains soft and flexible after application.
Standard supply is colour Black on rolls 50m length – most
popular widths are 20mm and 15mm but it is also available in
25mm, 30mm and 300mm width (the latter can be easily cut into
patches etc.). |

T-5500N |
Hot melt Dot Reinforced Non-Slip material (same
adhesive as T-5000) that is suitable for jersey laminated CR
sponge neoprene and a wide range of other fabrics and
applications – for seam reinforcement, seam taping, knee pads,
seat pads, elbow pads, glove facings etc. and also external
decoration. It adds strength and remains flexible after
application, with its unique stretch quality. It can be easily
cut it into any shape required – it is normally supplied in roll
size 30m length x 300mm width but can also be supplied in
narrower widths for use as seam Tape i.e. 22mm and 28mm subject
to minimum order quantities. |

T-5509 N |
Hot Melt Dot reinforced fabric -Black.
This has a different dot pattern.
Use to create a non-slip surface e.g. marine suit knee, seat and
elbow pads, glove facings, etc. |
